Art Salvage seeks to promote reuse and creativity for students, teachers, artists, crafters and makers of all ages.
***All classes MUST have some component of reuse that educate participants about creative reuse.***
DATES & TIMES
Classes are held on the 3rd Saturday of the month between 1-3pm.
Instructors have access to the classroom from 12noon-4pm for setup and cleanup. Please contact us if the proposed class requires more than 2 hours.
Instructors request a preferred class date in the application process.
Requests for classes on dates and times other than specified above will be considered based on Art Salvage staffing and availability.
INSTRUCTORS
Art Salvage will provide a volunteer to assist you during the class.
Instructors are paid based on the rate set by the instructor. An additional fee will be added to the class price for use of the facility and administrative costs.
Art Salvage will work with the instructor to set a class price that is appropriate for the cost of materials as well as the instructors expertise.
Art Salvage promotes classes, collects registration information and all registration fees. Instructors are strongly encouraged to help promote their class via email, social media and paper flyers provided by Art Salvage.
Classes with low registration (less than 3 participants) will be canceled 7 days before the date of the class.
Instructors are paid at the completion of the class.

CLASSROOM SPACE
Classes are held at Art Salvage in the classroom adjacent to the shop. Noise does travel between the classroom and the shop. Classes are typically held during open store hours.
The classroom can accommodate about 8 participants, plus instructors, depending on the activity.
The classroom has access to a utility sink and a bathroom.
Instructors are responsible for viewing the classroom before applying to teach a class so that they are aware of the space constraints and availability of tools & materials. You may request a tour of the classroom during open store hours.
MATERIALS
Art Salvage can provide most or all of the needed materials and tools depending on availability.
If you need Art Salvage to collect specific materials please apply 3 or more month in advance of the class date.
APPLICATION PROCESS
Applications will be considered based on the relevancy of the topic and the materials and tools available.
All instructors will need to provide one or more high resolution photos of the finished project. Additional photos of the materials, tools and process are optional but encouraged.
Applications are accepted on a first come basis and approved classes are scheduled based on instructor availability and preference as well as at the discretion of Art Salvage.
